| Carolann's
Baby Boomer Tune-UpTM
therapeutic massage is a personalized blend
of the following modes of treatment:
Medical
Massage - a combination
of American Medical Association approved Physical Medicine modalities
to promote recovery from automobile accidents and work-related injuries
(Worker's Compensation). Treatment must be medically necessary
and the patient must be referred to the therapist by a doctor.
Most insurances accepted.
Thai
Yoga Massage - a
massage form which Carolann studied in northern Thailand.
Utilizing gentle pressure and compression, Thai Yoga Massage stimulates
internal organs, relaxes tense muscles, and calms the nervous system.
Assisted yoga postures adjust the skeletal structure, increase flexibility,
and restore movement.
Swedish
Massage - a massage style
in which the muscles are kneaded, rubbed, vibrated, or tapped.
Swedish massage involves the use of oils, aromatherapy, and tonics
for relieving stress and muscle tension resulting in a state of
deep relaxation.
Multi-Directional
Cross Fiber - a specific
method using deep finger tip or elbow pressure to release muscle
fibers which are restricting movement and causing pain.
Trigger
Point Therapy - a specific
technique utilizing deep, sustained compression with either fingertips
or elbows to erase pain and prevent recurrence in tender spots of
the musculature. Trigger points are often at the root of neck
aches, backaches, and headaches.
Jin
Shin Do Acupressure - a
Japanese acupressure (finger pressure) method which aims at deep
release and rejuvenation. Jin Shin Do emphasizes developing
and maintaining well-being, addressing the whole person as effectively
as possible.
Range
of Motion and Strain/Counterstrain Movements - increases
flexibility in joints and muscles.
